The Machine of the World

If you like stories off the beaten path, you'll love Machine of the World. (Now available at Amazon)

It's a great social commentary nicely tucked inside a fascinating world of mystery, intrigue, and death. The main character, Inez, is a nice foil for Prince Laslo and Princess Lydia who cannot see the threat of the end of civilization for their love of money and power.

The depth of imagination of the author is apparent as the story gets deeper and deeper. Some of the names and descriptions give the sense that they have a hidden meaning, though that hidden meaning isn't always apparent. The author has a great grasp of dialogue which makes for an enjoyable read.

Overall, a great little fairy tale with a not so typical, but well fit, ending
